• Where are you playing from?
  • A login problem can mean that you have a firewall blocking the connection from the game servers to your computer.
    If you have windows XP you have a firewall. If you can't get the game to update or you can't login, this might be the problem
    This guide will help you set up your windows firewall to allow the game to play, while still obtaining maximum security

    Other popular firewalls include: Norton Internet Security, Mcafee Internet Security, Trend Micro, Zonealarm
    If you have any one of these programs running, disable them for a short time and load the golf game. If disabling the program solves the problem, send support@goldenfairway.com an email asking how to enable the game through your firewall

  • If you have a Network Admin, you will need to talk to them and have them open up the following ports for you.

    User Authentication: TCP 9000

    Database Authentication: UDP 28001

    Game: UDP 28005 - 29000

    Voip: UDP 26000 - 28000

  • If you are trying to play from a wireless hotspot and running into problems, it is most likely going to be impossible to play.
    The ports required for the game will most likely be blocked thus preventing you from playing.

• What does the error say?
  Line 120: ....
  

  That error has to do with your system restore function on your computer being messed up. The SR in srclient.dll stands for System Restore.This is a sign that the computer is infested with spyware which has caused the system restore function to not work. We might be able to get around the problem though.

  You will need to turn off his system restore, install the game, update the game and then turn it back on. To turn off system restore:
  

  • Right click on "my computer" and go to properties.
  • Click the system restore tab.
  • Select "turn off system restore on all drives"
  • Hit ok
  • Install the game, let the game patch as well.
  • Do not open or install anything else.
  • Once the game has installed, turn back on system restore.

  If this does not work, you will need to restore the srclient.dll.

  Please verify that you have adequate space on your harddrive. You need at least 150 MB of hard drive space in order to install and play GoldenFairway.

  If your computer does have enough room, you may have encountered an error while downloading which essentially broke the installer. Please delete your GoldenFairway-Setup.exe and redownload the game from here

  Note: you do not need to create a new userid, you will be able to log in with one you have already created
